Matthew was surrounded by music from the time he was born. “When I was a baby, my family recorded a Christmas album. They wanted to include me, so they recorded my best attempt at singing ‘Merry Christmas’ so I could be featured in a song. Also, my dad would make up hilarious ‘jingles’ about literally EVERYTHING. These ‘jingles’ have stuck with me to this day, and making up my own has become a ceaseless habit. Topics range from crazy neighbors, to bad roommates, to hitting pedestrians in a bout of road rage. And somewhere along the way, it became my passion. It became my refuge in times of sadness, my escape in times of boredom, and my entire means of expressing the joy in my life. That’s how I knew I would commit my life to making music.”

“I have to write every day,” he says. “Otherwise, I worry that my old ideas will become stale or forgotten and my new ideas will never be realized.” That work ethic has led to dozens of original songs currently in production, to be announced soon.
